Seattle’s own Hilliard’s Beer is a relatively new startup with some nice branding underway that is being produced by Mint Design. From the beginning they have been detailing the process of creating this beer and evolving the brand over at their site. Their approach with allowing the public to see the behind the scenes work as this startup is brought to life is intriguing and helps instill a deeper personality within their brand.

Great flickr set of Golden Guides. I remember these gems from my childhood and always thought they had something special to them. The covers are straightforward and streamlined like they ought to be and the texture of the paper coming through on the covers definitely seals the deal.

Beautiful project from German designer Stefanie Golla on the process of how bees make honey. Her use of photography to showcase the approach of how honey is created and gathered brings an imposing look into the procedure from beginning to end.

Some nice work from Scott Campbell out of New Orleans. I particularly like his use of halftones in his work, they bring out a nice but not to heavy texture. More great work over at his site where most of these posters are also available as prints.

I recently came across the work of Zurich born designer and painter Richard Paul Lohse and I’m really glad I did. Born in 1902, he became and early pioneer for modern Swiss design in the 1930′s and became just as successful in his fine art career as well. It’s always great discovering such a proficient designer from this time because it brings such a greater depth of appreciation to the field for me knowing where a lot of inspiration of today originated from and what it took for these guys to produce work like this.

I really enjoy the aesthetic behind Anchor Division. The sites showcases many inspirations for me including men’s wear, vintage commodities, architecture, automobiles, motorcycles and of course art and design. Some definite manly inspiration going on in there…especially for fashion.

New York’s very own Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is one of the world’s most popular museums. With numerous highly publicized exhibitions every year it only makes sense that they would have their own in-house design studio to stay on top of it all. The work they produce is seriously worth checking out. It’s great to see that each exhibition has it’s very own unique look and feel to really help make it one cohesive presentation from the advertising to the actual work being displayed.
