The Communication Department at the University of North Florida was in desperate need of a web site that would enhance the student’s and teacher’s experience while conveying its own aesthetic, away from the UNF brand in itself. The challenge however, was that it still had to be uniquely tied with the university in various ways.
I semantically organized the information so that it could be easily accessible for the viewer and effortlessly updated by anyone for future changes and announcements. To invigorate the site even further, I incorporated different Javascript techniques such as an accordion drop down for the navigation and for the faculty and alumni bio’s, along with a pleasant gallery to showcase student work. As the viewer continues through the site they will notice that each page is designed for the content that is specific to the section which contains different XHTML and CSS elements to facilitate the overall design.
